Sometimes I feel like I’m a coal miner who dreams she’s a sorcerer.
I have never in my life experienced the “enlightenment” that enlightened people describe as a breakthrough in their lives and my life is not built of peaks or abysses. There are no dramatic events,
Just a lot of sensitivity.
As a coal miner I go out to work every day, mine a little more in my tunnel on the way to a freedom which is not at all clear that exists. All of this can be quite depressing, but while mining in the tunnels where I make my way, I dream that I am a sorcerer – that I am omnipotent, that there are infinite possibilities, dimensions and forces embodied within me and with every pound of coal I mine I approach my freedom.
The sorcerer gives me strength, unlike a carrot at the end of the stick that lures the donkey but he never gets to bite it. He sustains me in every grain that becomes a treasure, a moment, a world of innumerable dimensions. When I’m a sorcerer, mining is not suffering. It’s an investigation full of interest, a journey full of moments of inspiration. The coal becomes diamonds and treasures that cannot be clung to, only released more and more in a path that does not surely lead anywhere or has an ending.
It is common to think of space, of death, of witchcraft, as a riddle, unknown dimensions in the peripherals of human existence, but the sorcerer reveals to me that the only riddle is life – life is that which cannot be known, and all other riddles are nothing but a distraction from it.
The sorcerer asks me to get closer and closer to life and turn the small cells that compound it into my work material, through the cells to find the power,
The freedom to get closer to what exits, to get closer to the moment and turn it into a quarry.
In the moment there is no path and no journey, there are possibilities, and the sorcerer teaches me to utilize them.
The moment is the key to freedom from the path, and the small particles that compound it are the field of witchcraft where a flexible consciousness can reassemble the world,
The existence, me, as infinite realizations.
There is no good or bad moment, right or wrong moment, all moments are equal in the possibilities they present to me for self encounter. There is no moment of falsehood and moment of truth.
Every moment expresses a truth about me, and the question is just whether I have enough love to acknowledge it, not to reject, not to cling, to accept and release.
Without love magic is nothing but manipulation, without heart and sensitivity Existence recreates itself but the special grace that my heart allows it is absent.
It is not easy to open the heart to all moments, and it is easy to feel in which moments the heart is closed and how releasing it is to open it. It hurts to meet a closed heart, to stay out of love,
But the sorcerer knows that the only heart that needs to be kept open is mine, and it feeds me with the most beautiful, inspiring dreams, and so,
Even when hard, the heart is renewed and opened.
The coal miner gives me perseverance, dedication, patience, humility, innocence, simplicity, keeps me close to myself, and the sorcerer gives me power, inspiration, converts the coal into fuel and light, and the boundaries into gates, leads me to whom I can be, and the heart… my heart gives me the beat,
The frequency of life, material for the mining and bewitching hands.
